BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping automatically discovers the components and relationships of business applications and then automatically builds a model in a CMDB (e.g. BMC Atrium) based on that information. The solution can also provide the created model directly to other BSM tools, e.g. Novell BSM. If saved in the CMDB, all data can be made available to all consumers of this CMDB. It also continuously scans for changes in those components and relationships, updating the model accordingly.BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping includes hundreds of discovery “signatures” that are used to identify and map a comparable number of common technology dependencies. It also allows you to add customized signatures to discover homegrown applications and their dependencies.
